I guess I'd better do it too.... Memory Game

Ok, so I've had a couple friends in the last 3 days or so put this on their blogs so I guess I'd better do it to...

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Poor little guy...

Well, these are just some fun pictures I took this morning because he's so cute even when he's miserable... (Gran, I think he got your ribs.)
So yes, Sam has been pretty miserable this last few weeks. However, I have to admit his horribly miserable is nothing compared to most babies I've seen so he's still quite the little angel! Anyway, Sam likes to get teeth in sets of 4 I think. He got the first 8 that way and had 8 teeth in 2 months. Then he took a break! :) Until a few weeks ago...as of yesturday I found the 2nd molar in 3 days that had broken through. Needless to say we have had some fun the last few weeks and I don't think it's over yet. I think he's got atleast one more on the way and if he follows previous patterns we may have all his teeth in before the next baby arrives. Maybe that's a good thing...
These pictures were just cute cause he kept pulling little faces. I didn't get all the ones I wanted but these were cute too!

Mr. Technology

Sam loves anything that uses electricity and is technology based. He has an old phone he likes to play with and loves to try and type on the computer. Unfortunately he has ripped off a few of the keys on Daddy's laptop. They went back on ok but we are looking for other solutions to the problem. Here was one of the ideas.
Sam loves it although I think he would like it if we'd plug it in so the screen would turn on. Any guesses on how old this is?
I love the smile! If only Daddy's studying were as much fun...
All done! Well, atleast until he figured out that he couldn't get it open again... then it was another story. :)
Who knew it was so exhausting to use a computer. It took everything out of him and guess who got a nap after it was all done...

Ready for the game

So Germany made it to the finals of the European cup! Yea! Unfortunately they didn't win and I think it was a very unfair game. However, Arnold was ready with his ties to cheer them on. This is actually for the semi-finals but I think we watched atleast 4 games, which is a record for me. I definitely enjoy football a lot more than most other sports. And for all the Americans reading this I'm not talking about American football. I'm talking about the REAL thing. I think American football is about the second most boring sport in the world that I've watched. I'm afraid baseball is in first place for the most boring. Sorry to all those out there that like the two sports but you have to admit they would be a lot more interesting with a LOT less dead time in between EVERYTHING that happens. Atleast the few games I've seen you spend most of your time wondering when the next thing is going to happen and when you should start watching again. Anyway, the games were fun and I really enjoyed it! I'm pretty sure Arnold did too! :)

*ok so I was just corrected by a sister of mine that says golf is the #1 most boring sport and then everything gets bumped down one from there. However I have never watched golf so I don't really know but I can imagine it could be the first....

Picking berries

We had a lot of fun on Saturday picking red currant berries. They aren't too good for me to eat but they make really tasty jelly so we thought we'd take on the project since the Luschins have 3-4 bushes of red currants. Sam decided he wanted to help the way he knows best and that was by eating as many as he could as fast as he could. It was really cute but after a minute or so we realized he was coming a little too close to keeping up with Arnold and I picking them. So we caged him and he wasn't too happy about it but it worked.

He's walking!

Ok, so he's been walking to some degree for quite some time now. He could have been walking on his own at least a month ago but he just didn't see the need so he's been crawling with random spurts of 3ish steps here and there and lots of walking around things. He would even stand up on his own without any help. Last weekend Arnold walked all over the house with him and Sam thought that was the best thing ever. So at the beginning of the week he started grabbing me by the finger and dragging me places. Thursday he just randomly started walking longish distances all by himself. Friday with a little coaxing he walked a good 30 ft without any help. The video doesn't show him going that far but it was first thing in the morning on Saturday and we were all a little hungry. Since I have to eat first thing or I have problems this is the only video we took. So enjoy!

Twins?

I think this is the coolest rose I've ever seen! I never knew a rose could have a double bud/center or whatever it is. It looks pretty cool and smells even better.
