He just can't resist...

I've decided Sam just can't resist putting things in his mouth especially if they are round. He is constantly and I really mean constantly crawling around with something in his mouth. These are two of his favorite things to crawl around with. He's also become quite good at getting up the stairs. One of these days we'll have to teach him how to get back down.

Excited about eating...

I have to admit Sam loves to laugh and does it a lot but this was so funny the other day. I gave him a teething biscuit to chew on since he was done eating and I needed him preoccupied for a few more minutes and he just started laughing. I think he was just a little too tired and couldn't help himself or maybe he was having fun using his 8 teeth that he doesn't need but either way it was hard not to laugh. Unfortunately he was a little distracted by the camera so the laughing isn't as good as it was before or after but here is a glimps of it. I couldn't decide which video was better so let me know which one is your favorite. (Yes, he is biting off pieces of it if you watch carefully. I guess he's practicing for the steak soon to come.)

This video was just a couple mornings ago. He got all excited when we pulled out a yogurt and started doing this funny little kicking thing with his feet. I think he likes food.

Happy 29th Birthday Arnold!!!

Arnold turned 29 on the 10th of April. One more year till the big 30! Dinner was a bit of a flop since the meal I've made probably 40-50 times in the last 3 years didn't work but the present was good. As you can see he got the Indiana Jones legos which he has been wanting since he heard there was even a posibility of them being made. He's quite the legos fan and is excited to have a little one to share them with when he gets big enough.

Our little musician

Sam loves to play on the piano. So far we have been blessed to have one in the houses we've been in and Sam loves to take advantage of that on a regular basis. He'll crawl over and pull himself up on the bench or he has started to try and stand on his own which doesn't quite work yet but he's getting better. Either way he finds a way to play and loves it!

So tired!

Sam was so cute the other night. Arnold has been getting home a bit later than Sam usually stays up but we kept him up so he could see his Daddy. He would play and eat and then put his head down and even closed his eyes a few times, but the hungry little boy kept eating.

Walking around the furninture

Well I really hope I'm ready for this. I took this video last week sometime and he's starting to just walk around furniture cause he thinks it's fun instead of because he wants to get something. If he keeps this up he'll be walking in a month or so. Who knows. He doesn't have a good push toy so it might take a little longer. However he has amazing balance and loves to go and get into everything so he just might do it.

Excited about life! :)

Sam is so cute cause he's always so happy and excited about life. It really doesn't get much better than this. This is his favorite I'm excited pose! Usually he only does it one handed like in the video but if he's really excited then you get both. I guess he's saying, "Yea! I'm in beautiful Germany!"

Sam at the park

Amazingly Sam enjoys the slides. We sent him down not sure of the reaction and we got the standard giggles which we always love and a lot of static. We couldn't resist the pictures.

Sam was so incredibly cute at the park. He started off by showing how much of a cowboy and Texan he really is. You'd think he was on a bucking bronco. Sorry it's sideways. I didn't film it and don't know how to change it so enjoy at a funny angle.

Sam loves the swings! Every time we put him in one this is what happens. He just giggles the whole time and doesn't want to come off. It's hard to watch this without laughing.

Sleepy hair

I thought my hair was bad when I wake up. Sam's is just hilarious but usually it calms down a bit. I tried to get his hair back down but this was the product. He's so happy and cute when he wakes up.

You'd think we never fed this kid...

Sam is so funny cause he puts everything in his mouth especially anything that is some form of technology. The first picture is of him trying to eat the camera and the second is a typical shot of him if I had a camera all the time. He's always got something in his mouth and loves to crawl around that way.
Sam also likes to perform tricks at the table. He's decided it's funny play with the spoon and I think he's becoming quite the little clown. He also likes to do this funny little thing with his hands or arms and we got him to do it on this video too!

He's standing!

This was at the end of march. Sam started standing on his own for long enough that we got a little video of it. He has amazing balance for a kid his age and should be walking before too long.

Our little turtle

Sam loves baskets and loves to take a ride in them whether it be with the laundry or anything else he might find.
The other day we discovered he likes to take the basket for a ride also. So here is our little turtle! He's still smiling under there if you look close enough.

Easter weekend

This is our little egg dying party! Arnold's good friend Dirk and his girlfriend Caroline came to visit and decided to stay long enough to help. Jon and Lisa were there too and somehow Arnold escaped the picture...hmmm...
This is my favorite egg that I did so I had to take a picture of it. It also took the longest to do and was easier to do than you might think. Jon and Lisa the beautiful did one that looked better, but it broke. Oops!
We all got a Lindt chocolate easter bunny after dinner on sunday and they had these cute little red bows with bells on them. Arnold likes putting things on Sam's ears probably cause it bothers me and he thinks it's funny so this is what happened to poor Sam. Apparently he doesn't mind right now but he might later and then he'll say something like... "Dad, I can't believe you did that too me and Mom, WHY did you have to post it on the internet?" I'm not sure which is worse. ;)

This last picture is of the beautiful easter flowers that Dirk and Caroline brought us. When we got them Saturday evening they were only an inch or two high and Monday evening they looked like this. It's got even more flowers now and is just absolutely gorgeous! We have definitely enjoyed them and I'm glad I haven't killed them yet.

Giggles and fun!

Sam was so funny the other day. He discovered that he could blow bubbles on the edge of the glass table and he thought it was pretty funny. He just stood there and blew bubbles and giggled for probably a good 15 min. We finally stopped laughing enough to get the camera. Here is a short glimps of him.
