The things they do...

January...

I thought I'd do a blog about January (or atleast the beginning of it) so I can get caught up a bit. I have to admit sitting at the computer for long enough to do a post is not always an exciting idea right now with this huge belly of mine, so for an attempt at a summary...

First of all Sam started Primary! He loved it! Especially his new suit. He's so proud of wearing a suit like Pappi every week to church.

My parents showed up with Jenica to drop her off since it was her first time flying (and I think they wanted to come and make sure all was well and see their long lost grandbabies). Something seemed to find a way into one of their bags. I'm always surprised at the flexibility of that little man.

When they arrived they brought sunshine and warmth enough to melt our huge snowmen, which was a little sad, but also the ice patch we had for a road, which was very nice. I got stuck on it once and we had quite the exciting time

The kids even went out that day to enjoy the fresh air without the need of extra warmth. Of course they both found shoes before wandering out.
Jenica, although jetlagged and very home sick jumped right in and did a great job entertaining the kids.
My dad also had fun reading lots and lots of stories to the kids. He was probably the only one awake enough to do it at that point.

To be continued...

There is really not much else to say about this picture...

What can I say? It is, what it is. We both like ice cream. :)

December

December was a big month for us which is kinda hard to tell by the number of pictures taken. We really only have pictures of Christmas. So here's a quick summary.

On the 5th, just after church, I started having a ton of bleeding. Since I was only 12 weeks along in the pregnancy, I figured we'd lost the baby. We headed to the hospital and to my surprise and joy I learned you can have a LOT of bleeding without loosing the baby. Even the Dr was surprised at how much bleeding there was. I spent 5 days in the hospital on complete bed rest. Talk about boring! But the bleeding basically stopped and all was well so I got to go home and be on bed rest there... Haha... Since that's kinda hard with 2 little ones we had Arnold's cousin Hannah come and help for the first 2 weeks till Christmas. She was my first Angel! Unfortunately we don't have pictures of her. :( We don't even have pictures of Marie's small birthday party. :( It was just too crazy of a time and we missed pulling out the camera till Christmas.

Then we had Christmas with Arnold home! At this point I was off of complete bed rest since the bleeding stopped and was told to get up as much as I could and be very careful. Basically I had a ton of restrictions but the Dr wanted me up and moving as much as I could so we didn't have to worry about the complications that come with laying in bed all day. This was nice because I got to participate a bit with Christmas instead of just laying on the couch all day.

Sam got a bunch of construction truck duplos and some trains which he loved! I'm not sure who loved them more Arnold or Sam. :)

Marie got kitchen stuff, a duplo farm and a Hippopotamus for Christmas. At first she wasn't sure about the Hippo but she quickly realized that it went with her favorite Christmas song and was soon riding it around the room and giving it lots of kisses!

We had the Sister missionaries over and that was a ton of fun! It was a great Christmas eve!

The rest of the month consisted of resting more and Maja came to help. She was my second angel and once again... we don't have any pictures of her. :( I can't thank Hannah and Maja enough for coming and taking care of everything so that I could rest and heal. And yes, they did help with everything from changing diapers to cleaning and cooking. They did it ALL while I rested and slept a bunch! It will always be something that I am incredibly grateful for!

I'm fat...

I really want to get back to blogging so I thought I'd start of with my only partially bad excuse for not blogging in forever.

I'm FAT! REALLY FAT!

...and this is with just over 3 months left... (this isn't completely up to date picture)

Can I just say I hope this baby comes a little early? Is that horrible to wish for? The questions and comments started around the half way mark so now I'm getting the "Are you having twins or triplets?" So just to clarify, I'm having one.

Sam is praying for this little gal to come and they are both super excited to meet her. She gets more hugs and kisses than I do. It will be fun to have her join us but I have to admit, this has not been the easiest pregnancy with it's complications and now the hugeness that I get to lug around daily. Apparently she's actually not too huge either so it's all surrounding water... Maybe that's why I look like a watermelon. :) Either way we are all so grateful everything is ok now and just hope I can make it the last 3 months!

Oh, and just because it's funny I really don't look pregnant from the back. I stick straight out in the front. I'd post a picture of that but it would be weird.
