Back to the land of the living...

Ok, so We DID make it back and I think I'm almost over the jet lag. I'm always surprised at how much harder it is to adjust with two little people but at least this time it went a bit smoother than a year ago.

So as of today I hope to be back into posting every couple of days. We'll see how I do, but here's a start...

January...There's not much to say about it other than crazy, lots of snow and cute little people playing in snow. Yea, that about sums it up. Enjoy the pictures! :)

More coming soon! :)

My wife comes home tomorrow!

Mandi has been visiting our family in Texas for the past several weeks while I have been busy at work. But now she comes home tomorrow. I am very excited! I have missed her tremendously.
Thank you for being such a wonderful wife!

Oops!

Yup, I'm on a blogging break. I just happened to plan a last minute trip to Texas and forgot that I should probably say something to those of you who read my blog. So to all those who read this I've been in Texas since the 22nd of January and will be back in Germany the 27th. Until then I've been having lots of fun in Texas although we are REALLY missing Arnold (and Maja ;) Sam and Marie ask for you all the time and want you to come back to Texas). So for now here are a couple pictures from my sister to enjoy until I figure out how to get my pictures on my parents computer and get some sleep so I can do more blogging.

I think this girl could (maybe more like does) sleep anywhere.

A little lunch party for three. Yes, Sam is wearing Jo's pink hat, and no, it doesn't fit very well. What can I say, He loves hats!

I thought this was just too cute for words. They have had a ton of fun together and it will be fun to have all the cousins together in another week and see how much fun that is.

Photo shoot

Well, that's what we were hoping for.

Who knew that taking pictures could be so painful?

So wiggly! Just 10 seconds was all I needed...

The end result. Children running free again! So cute though. Notice Sam's fingers reaching for the camera.

Our friendly neighborhood animals.

We have some local animals that we pass everyday on our walk to the train with Arnold. Sam loves seeing the animals and now Marie is showing great interest in them too. While Arnold was home after Christmas we took a little trip to visit them.

Sam trying to feed the animals without getting close enough to do it.

Sam avoiding the animals because ever since a goose snapped at him he's been a bit timid.

Marie not sure if feeding the animals is a good idea but ok with Daddy helping/doing it.

Bubbles! :)

Funny kids

My kids are really funny. They do things all the time that just make me want to laugh. I usually do and sometimes I wish I hadn't especially with Sam because he's at that age where if he can make someone laugh he'll do it again, and again, and again...

This was one of those times. I looked over and there was this little head sitting there smiling where the sink should have been. It was funny at first and I laughed pretty good, but after a few minutes and a picture I decided we had to put an end to it, so we did. If nothing else it looked really awkward and I didn't want him breaking his neck where the sink should be and having to explain that to him later when he was older.

This one is pretty self explanatory. She was very hungry and kept saying it until I pulled out the camera. It always happens that way. I'm so glad I did pull it out because although I didn't get the "Ungie", I did get something much better.

My kids eat mold! How about yours?

Yup they eat it and LOVE it. It's kinda weird to me because it wasn't until I married Arnold that I was really introduced to eating mold. I know my Dad loves it but I never really wanted to eat it. It just didn't sound that good. So after Arnold begged and pleaded with me to try a little and kept doing it, I've slowly grown to enjoy a little mold here and there. I think my favorite is Arnold's favorite, Saint Agur. As long as I don't look at what I'm eating I'm fine and it tastes good. I just have to think of something else. These two little people, however, will probably love it there whole lives. Yummy moldy cheese. And if you don't believe me here is picture proof.
Eating mold before jam.

I know it may not look like she's enjoying it but it's one thing she will always eat... yummy mold!

*Just to clarify... Mold=blue cheese. I'm not completely crazy, I promise.
