Summer fun!

We have FINALLY started summer break!  Crazy, I know but we made it to August and the break started on July 31.  So what do you do in the summer time when all the world is warm?  ...

According to our littlest man, stand around holding squishy wet things and look confused and enjoy every minute of it at the same time! Weird I know but true.

The others figured it out pretty quickly. :)

I think every one enjoyed the fun since they haven't stopped begging to do it again since! :)  A good start to the summer!  (And Marie loves the new swimsuit!)

My boy is 7!

I'm in shock or something because it hasn't hit me yet that he had another birthday. In fact I was so bad at planning it that we bought cake for the big day instead of making some because it just snuck up on me. But the day was a success so that was all good!

We started out by going to a climbing area the kids just love and they had a ton of fun!  Sam brought a friend along so double the fun there!

After the previously mentioned store bought cake which followed the pizza we bought so I didn't have to make it and try to not eat any cheese, he opened the presents!  He was super excited for the shirt and boat although slightly dissapointed that the shirt had only 3 stars on it!  Haha!  Oh well!  He has worn it a bunch since so it's all good right! :)

And the next day I finally whipped out these in a reasonable amount of time since T was sleeping!  Yay for getting things done!

Happy birthday to my not so little man!

A little surprise on our walk!

I love this time if year because it's just so pretty when the sun is out!  We even got a little surprise on our walk the other day!  Our walk took a lot longer because of it!
I'm not sure how easy they are to see but there is the mommy duck leading the little ones and the papa duck was swimming around being the protective police escort!  He'd give a quack and then the mama duck would take them all to the side. A few minutes later after swimming around some more the papa duck would quack again and they would all come back out. It was so cute and the girls were giggling and loving it and T was completely enthralled with this whole duck business! He's been looking for them ever since!

Little update

So life is crazy as usual. Even this guy had to add more to the fun!
Yup a quick trip to the emergency room just to make sure. Luckily it was just in need of more than a bandaid so it wasn't bad!

Oh and just a quick note. I know he looks like he's falling asleep but in reality he was writhing and screaming in pain and frustration. I looked at it later and not only was I surprised by how clear it is but by the calmness that seems to be there. Don't be fooled!  There was calmness a little later! :)
And all that cuteness ready to go play again!

Mr Baldy and his cucumber

Who knew this little man would love cucumbers so much?  I sure didn't!  If he even sees one he won't touch anything else. Silly monkey!  Oh and doesn't he look cute (and a bit funny) with his new hairdo?!?

A hairy bunch of monkeys!

Here is just a little of the fun my little gals and I have had while little brother is sleeping and big brother is off at school!  They are loving the girl time and are getting better at holding still, although we still have a long way to go! 😄

Getting things going again!

So where have I been lately?
So yes, I've been absent for a while and haven't updated this in a long while. So here is a new start for the New Year since I might as well do it again!  My goal, one post a week!  We will have to see if my little man will let me do it! (Not sure why the picture is upside down but too tired to do anything about it!  So sorry!  He's cute either way!)

Becoming friends

With Sam off at kindergarten lately there has been more and more of this going on!  Marie kinda beats up on Lizzie with her love and it's nice to see them playing more happily together.  Marie is getting gentler and Lizzie, the ever patient child, is starting to be willing to play with her.  They may be friend yet! :)

This was not the result we were looking for...

Lemons don't usually produce instant smiles but then again she is always smiling so I guess we shouldn't be surprised...

Beside I love this little smile and don't mind seeing it more often! :)

Birthday Hugs!

I can't believe that I have a 1 and 5 year old!  It's almost to crazy to even think about!  Either way our little gal decided that her big brother needed a lot of hugs for his birthday.  This is just a glimps of the hugging session.  He's a wonderful, patient and loving big brother to his two younger sisters!  She is so loving and always has hugs for us all!  I'm so glad they are both in our family!
 The strangle!

It's hard to believe with how big she is and how much hair she has that she's really just 1 but it's true!  She's only 1 and just got there fairly recently too!

I think she started getting a little tired at this point and decided to snuggle a bit too... ;)
He's really such a good sport!

She knocked him over at this point since she's so huge and she was throwing herself at him. :)

Definitely getting some snuggles in and found that thumb too!
Oh and hopefully we can get a bit of catchup and posting again around here on this blog! :)

January...

I thought I'd do a blog about January (or atleast the beginning of it) so I can get caught up a bit. I have to admit sitting at the computer for long enough to do a post is not always an exciting idea right now with this huge belly of mine, so for an attempt at a summary...

First of all Sam started Primary! He loved it! Especially his new suit. He's so proud of wearing a suit like Pappi every week to church.

My parents showed up with Jenica to drop her off since it was her first time flying (and I think they wanted to come and make sure all was well and see their long lost grandbabies). Something seemed to find a way into one of their bags. I'm always surprised at the flexibility of that little man.

When they arrived they brought sunshine and warmth enough to melt our huge snowmen, which was a little sad, but also the ice patch we had for a road, which was very nice. I got stuck on it once and we had quite the exciting time

The kids even went out that day to enjoy the fresh air without the need of extra warmth. Of course they both found shoes before wandering out.
Jenica, although jetlagged and very home sick jumped right in and did a great job entertaining the kids.
My dad also had fun reading lots and lots of stories to the kids. He was probably the only one awake enough to do it at that point.

To be continued...
