Go BYU and Fish!

Ok, so this first part and picture are dedicated to Seth, our greatest BYU fan! Sam loves this little cougar and loves to hear it play the fight song. Whenever he's in a bad mood or most likely just tired and not wanting to sleep, I pull this down from off the high shelf and play it for him. It always brings a smile to his face and he'll drag it around and cuddle with it on the floor when he's really tired. He's even learning to bite the foot so it will play the song. Unfortunately not everyone can handle listening to the song 50 times in a row especially since it has a wrong note so it usually ends up getting put back up on the shelf by someone and Sam and I have to pull it down again.

Ok, now for the fish story. I don't have a picture to go with it so this one will have to do. We came home from church yesturday and as we pulled into the driveway the neighbors cat hopped up to say hello. Sam LOVES cats and so I was pretty excited to point it out to him. Unfortunately we had a long night with Sam waking up randomly and being awake for atleast 2 hours. So I pointed out the window of the car and said, "Look Sam! A fish!" If I keep this up we'll have one very confused little boy.

Too much fun!

Arnold put Sam on this bush and it was just too much fun! I should have taken a video but you can probably see the giggles we got to hear.

Sam in the pool

Sam was a little unsure of the whole pool thing until we added a bit of warm water and then it was lots of fun!
We had fun with his hair too! It stood up all the time when he was little but I can't seem to get it to do it anymore unless it's wet. I thought the hair cut would change that but it still lays flat now. Oh well, it's cute while it's wet!
And yes, he almost always has something in his mouth. :)

Our little Italian food lover...

Well, actually he just loves eating in general but he does seem to like the italian food. He does amazingly well with slippery noodles and of course puts on quite the show as he shoves down the food. You'd think we never fed this kid the way he eats sometimes. He also loves cheese. Arnold even slipped in a little blue cheese the other day and he wanted more. We got some parmesan cheese to eat with our spaghetti and grated it ourselves. Its a bit stronger here and I was really surprised when I looked over and saw this happening before dinner...

More climbing adventures

So can I just say my life is getting more exciting as we go. Sam has discovered the couch and loves to climb on it. Lucky for me he now understands the meaning of "Feet first" and usually doesn't end up on his head anymore. However, he still finds ways to get in the weirdest of situations. We just hope he doesn't kill himself before the age of 1. Only two more months to go...

Sam's first haircut!

So you can't really tell how bad it was from the first picture. We should have combed it forward for all to see but his hair was getting in his eyes. He kept rubbing his eyes all the time because of it and so we decided to give him his very first haircut. I tried to get it a little shorter than I normally would just for the fact that I didn't want to have to do it again any time soon. He didn't really enjoy the experience but overall it wasn't too bad. After a little wailing and a LITTLE holding still we ended up with a not too bad first haircut. We definitely need emphasis on the little for holding still. He's never been very good at that. I thought his hair might stand up again like it use to after it got cut but no luck there.

He must be related to me...

So I was talking to my mom the other day and she said I was quite the handful too since the moment I could get around and stand I was also climbing. I guess it's the mother's revenge thing or something because I can't take my eyes off of him anymore. I was making biscuits yesturday morning and he figured out how to climb up the drawers and reach the stuff on the counter. The worst part is that we need to find a new place for the big kitchen knifes now. He can move the chairs but hasn't learned to use them yet so I'm praying for that to NOT happen soon. There won't be anything safe if he figures out that but it might be more stable than the things he's finding now. Anyway, enjoy the pictures!
