Easter weekend
This is our little egg dying party! Arnold's good friend Dirk and his girlfriend Caroline came to visit and decided to stay long enough to help. Jon and Lisa were there too and somehow Arnold escaped the picture...hmmm...This is my favorite egg that I did so I had to take a picture of it. It also took the longest to do and was easier to do than you might think. Jon and Lisa the beautiful did one that looked better, but it broke. Oops!We all got a Lindt chocolate easter bunny after dinner on sunday and they had these cute little red bows with bells on them. Arnold likes putting things on Sam's ears probably cause it bothers me and he thinks it's funny so this is what happened to poor Sam. Apparently he doesn't mind right now but he might later and then he'll say something like... "Dad, I can't believe you did that too me and Mom, WHY did you have to post it on the internet?" I'm not sure which is worse. ;)
This last picture is of the beautiful easter flowers that Dirk and Caroline brought us. When we got them Saturday evening they were only an inch or two high and Monday evening they looked like this. It's got even more flowers now and is just absolutely gorgeous! We have definitely enjoyed them and I'm glad I haven't killed them yet.

Giggles and fun!
Sam was so funny the other day. He discovered that he could blow bubbles on the edge of the glass table and he thought it was pretty funny. He just stood there and blew bubbles and giggled for probably a good 15 min. We finally stopped laughing enough to get the camera. Here is a short glimps of him.

What I love about Europe...
There are some things in life that just make you smile and this is one of them. It's amazing that in the U.S. you can drive 15 minutes and find a Walmart just about anywhere you are. However, I can now drive 15 minutes and find things like this. I love the way there is open fields surrounding the towns, and you can find castles and old history just about anywhere you go. The two bottom pictures were taken as we were driving to the castle. It's a little hard to see but the bottom picture has a castle on top of the hill.

Sam's first snow! :)
When we got here there was lots of sun even though it was a bit cold. However that changed while we were inside the museum part looking at all the old Roman stuff.
This is what it looked like when we came out and wanted to see the outdoors part. We thought we'd better get a picture before it all melted. Hoever the snow started up again pretty quickly.

All wrapped up
We didn't expect to have such cold weather when we got here. The first day was pretty nice but afterwards it got really cold and has been ever since. Arnold's mom went out and got Sam a coat, hat, scarf and mittens which he looks absolutely adorable in and has used on a daily basis ever since we got them. We also had to go buy him some shoes since the socks and slippers don't stay on his feet. He's still the cutest boy in all the land! :) I wish you could hear all the little giggles that go with the smiles.
Our first outing!
We had some good friends who came to visit and we took them to Aschaffenburg for our first outing. It has a really fun castle called Schloss Johannisburg which was built in 1605–1614 by Archbishop Schweikard von Kronberg. If you want to know some more fun information on it you can look it up on wikipedia. It was a really nice castle, almost more like a palace and was lots of fun to see. Walking around it made you feel like you needed to get all dressed up for a ball or special occasion of some sort. We also got to see a house called Pompejanum modeled after a house from Pompeii.
It was quite the windy and cold day so we had to get all bundled up. Sam was the cutest of course especially when he gives kisses! :)

Afterwards we went to Schönbusch Park. They have a fun maze which probably looks nicer in the summer. We raced to the finish and the girls won! Yea! The guys also had the baby and stroller but they are bigger, stronger and have longer legs right to walk faster with right!?! :) It would have been fun to see more while we were there but the cold weather, limited time, and tired baby ended the trip here.
